Scale won’t power on

If your scale isn’t turning on, it’s possible that the batteries are not properly installed.

  • Re-insert the batteries by opening the battery door in the back of the scale.
  • Insert the batteries (4 x 1.5V AA) according to the + and - indications inside the battery compartment.
  • If inserted properly, the LCD will power on.
  • If your scale still won’t turn on, replace the batteries.

Replacing the scale batteries

When an empty battery symbol blinks and your device powers off, it’s time to replace the scale batteries.

  • Replace all four batteries at the same time. Do NOT mix old batteries with the new ones.
  • Replace the batteries by opening the battery door in the back of the scale.
  • Insert the batteries (4 x 1.5V AA) according to the + and - indications inside the battery compartment.
  • When inserted properly, the LCD will power on.

Signal, data transmission, and connection errors

When your scale LCD displays a no signal error on its own or alongside an E3, E4, or E6 error code, the scale is having trouble finding a signal, transmitting data, or connecting to a server.

  • Move your scale to an area with a stronger signal, preferably closer to a window or to a higher floor. You can use your mobile phone to help determine signal strength.
  • Retake your measurement.
  • If the issue persists, contact the Cadence Care Team at 855-613-0778

SIM errors

If your scale’s LCD displays a SIM error or an E5 error code, there is an error with your scale’s SIM card and it’s time to check or re-install the SIM card.

  • Flip your scale over to find the SIM card compartment door inside the battery compartment, labeled “SIM”.
  • Open the SIM card door with a screwdriver and then you can check and re-install the SIM card.

Inconsistent scale readings

If your readings are too high or low, or if readings vary significantly between measurements, take these steps to ensure you're using the scale properly.

  • Place the scale on a hard, even surface. Avoid using the scale on carpet.
  • Make sure you stay still and don't talk during your reading.
